How do I block holidays, vacation or time off so nobody can book?

In Settings → Opening hours & times add the dates under Closed (holidays, vacation), or part of a day under Blocked time for the whole business or one person. No free times are offered then; existing bookings stay.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings → Opening hours & times.

  2. Under Closed (holidays, vacation) fill in From, To (inclusive) and an optional Label, then click Add.

  3. For part of a day go to Blocked time and under For choose Whole business or a person.

  4. Set the Day, from and to, an optional Label, and click Block.

  5. Remove an entry anytime with the bin icon next to it.

  6. Check Free times preview or the booking page: those dates no longer offer times.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Entries are saved at once – no need to click Save changes.
  • Bookings already in that period are not cancelled or moved; reschedule or cancel them yourself.
  • Closed and Blocked time hide free times only. Sessions under Events stay bookable – cancel them or set them to Draft.
  • Blocked time covers one day; for a staff member's week off add a block for each day.

Why it matters

One entry stops all online bookings for your holiday, so you do not have to refuse customers afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Do recurring bookings respect my holidays?

Yes. Occurrences that fall on a Closed day are skipped.

Can a public holiday repeat every year?

No, add each holiday as its own Closed entry, for example at the start of the year.
