How does the Withdraw from contract button work for customers?

In Settings → Booking, under Withdrawal from contract (consumers), choose what customers who bought online can withdraw from: gift cards (on by default) and bookings paid online (off). Resovu shows the button, confirms by email and refunds card payments automatically.

How to do it

  1. Open Settings → Booking and scroll to Withdrawal from contract (consumers).

  2. Keep Gift cards sold online on if you sell vouchers online.

  3. Decide whether to turn on Bookings paid online. The description under the switch explains when services on a fixed date are usually an exception.

  4. Set the Withdrawal period in days. In the EU, EEA and UK the field does not allow less than 14.

  5. Optional: copy the Link for your website for your footer or terms, and use the Sample text for your terms and conditions as a starting point.

  6. Click Save and check where customers find the button: the line Customers find it here now shows the address.

Tips and common mistakes

  • The customer fills in their name, email and the booking or order number from the email (or the voucher code) and confirms. They get a confirmation by email.
  • When the withdrawal is clearly valid, a voucher is deactivated and its unused value refunded, or a booking is cancelled without a fee and its online payment refunded in full – from your Stripe balance.
  • Otherwise (period over, service already provided, contract not found) the withdrawal is recorded and you decide. You get a notification and an email.
  • Each purchase keeps the period valid when it was made. Shortening it later does not affect earlier purchases.

Why it matters

Customers can withdraw without calling you, and every withdrawal is recorded with its time and content.

Frequently asked questions

Is a withdrawal the same as a cancellation?

No. A withdrawal ignores your cancellation fees and deadline. Ordinary cancellations still follow your Cancellation policy.

Does Resovu tell me whether I need the button?

No. The texts in the settings and the sample terms are guidance only – check the rules for your business and country, ideally with an advisor.
